Compassionate Birth & Postpartum Doula Support

Be gently guided through pregnancy and beyond with heartfelt doula support

Birth is not only physical- it is emotional, mental, and deeply personal. My role as your labor doula is to provide continuous support throughout labor and birth so you feel grounded, informed, and supported.

I work alongside your medical team or midwife and support both you and your partner during the labor process.

The postpartum period is a time of healing, adjustment, and enormous change. Families deserve nurturing support during this transition as they recover, bond with their baby, and settle into a new rhythm.

Postpartum support is centered around caring for the entire family while helping create a calmer, more supported recovery experience.

I support hospital births, birth center births, home births, medicated briths, unmedicated births, planned cesareans, and VBAC families.

About Me:

Hi! I'm Ashley Demma-Dippner, RN, founder of Mother Love Doula.

For more than a decade, I have had the privilege of supporting mothers and families through some of life's most transformative moments. My background includes 10 years of experience as a postpartum nurse and 2 years as a labor and delivery nurse, caring for families during pregnancy, birth, recovery, and the early days of parenthood.

In addition to my professional experience, I am also a mother of five and have personally experienced five unmedicated births. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the strength, resilience, and unique journey of every birthing family.

As a doula, I combine evidence-based knowledge, compassionate support, and a nurturing presence to help families feel informed, empowered, and cared for throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I believe every family deserves individualized support that honors their goals, values, and choices.

My passion is helping parents navigate this special season with confidence, encouragement, and peace of mind. I love the miracle of birth. My goal is for you to feel loved and supported during this momentous time. Whether you are preparing for birth, welcoming a new baby, or adjusting to life postpartum, I am honored to walk alongside you on your journey.

I look forward to supporting you and your growing family.

With Love,

Ashley Demma-Dippner, RN.

Birth Doula FAQs

What is a birth doula?

A birth doula is a trained professional who provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and the immediate postpartum period. A doula works alongside your healthcare team to help you feel informed, supported, and confident.

Do you replace my doctor or midwife?

No. Your doctor or midwife is responsible for your medical care and your baby's medical care. As your doula, I provide non-medical support, comfort measures, education, and encouragement while working collaboratively with your healthcare providers.

Can I still have a doula if I get an epidural?

Absolutely. A doula provides support whether you choose an unmedicated birth, an epidural, a planned cesarean birth, or an induction. My goal is to support your choices and help you have a positive birth experience.

Will you speak for me during labor?

I help you understand your options, encourage communication, and support you in expressing your wishes. I do not make medical decisions or speak on your behalf, but I help you feel confident communicating with your healthcare team.

What if my labor starts in the middle of the night?

Birth doesn't follow a schedule! I remain on call for clients around your estimated due dates so I can join you when labor begins.

Is a doula helpful if this isn't my first baby?

Yes! Every birth is unique. Many experienced parents choose a doula because continuous support can make each birth feel more calm, supported, and personalized.

How many prenatal visits are included?

There are usually two prenatal visits. Prenatal visits typically include getting to know each other, discussing your birth preferences, practicing comfort measures, reviewing labor preparation, and answering questions.

When should I hire a birth doula?

Many families hire a doula during the second trimester, but you can reach out at any point during your pregancy. Booking early helps ensure availability.
